Bead Jewelry and art design.

Hi I'm Mya, owner of My Art Creations-I’ve been creating jewelry for several years—starting after college and some years into working life, when I finally gave myself the time to create just for the joy of it.

When I discovered beading, I devoted almost all my free time to exploring ideas with my new hobby.   I started by learning patterns, reading everything I could on jewelry making, experimenting, and teaching myself how to Beadweave one stitch after another. 

My first introduction to jewelry making was long long ago in a course I took my freshman year of college at a Fine Art Museum. It was difficult, I loved the idea, but learning metalworking felt intense back then—especially without the time or space to really dive in. 

After relocating a while ago and picked art up again. I had forgotten all my artistic dreams for quite some time, but I found a new avenue to pursue,  Beading became my way back in: hands-on, detailed, and endlessly creative.

I beadweave for several hours at a time if I have an event or occasion to create jewelry.  I make things sometimes for no reason just because I can I start from a few beads and form something tangible.  

 

Right now, I’m especially drawn to using real stones in my creations instead of beads,

because they feel good to hold on to. 

I am using my hobby as a way to keep going and I enjoy designing.  Every piece I make is crafted with intention, imagination, and a whole lot of heart.

I haven’t formally studied Geology or Mineralogy—but I’m always learning what makes certain stones rare, valuable, or simply unforgettable.
